Telling the future is impossible, of course. But planning always imagines the near future. It is our responsibility as architects to make the most of architecture's potential for the general public. Architecture is the creative synthesis of an infinite number of influences. The climate crisis is triggering a major transformation that is profoundly changing practice. We are thinking and acting fundamentally differently, with the result that the built environment looks different. Using examples from our work and sketches of ideas, we show various possibilities. This is in line with our self-image as an active part that happily accepts the complexity of challenges. It is about making the best possible use of intellectual and material capital for a good life for all.

PPAG architects consists of Anna Popelka and Georg Poduschka and team, with offices in Vienna and Berlin. Since its foundation in 1995, the office has worked continuously in the field of research and development of architecture in the broadest sense, with the aim of realizing innovation. This involves the permanent formulation of the socially relevant and necessary new in architecture. The global climate crisis requires a fundamentally different way of thinking and acting. Planning will make an essential contribution to a good future for everyone. This is what we are working on.
